Traveler, teacher, geographer. Rudy Kong spent 12 years living in Northeast China where he raised two children, started a traveling ice hockey team, drove a People's Liberation Army motorcycle with sidecar as the family car, and generally enjoyed life. His book details his life in China and includes incredible anecdotes on experiences such as covertly visiting the Dalai Lama's birth home, being tomahawked by police in a hockey brawl, running over a cyclist, racing to North Korea on a motorized classic Chinese bicycle, and more.

Jim Williams--C.H.I.P.S. in China
An English teacher for 25 years, Jim Williams has taught at every grade level (except kindergarten) in both public and independent schools. A runner, hiker, coach, sports nut, gardener, Scrabble and crossword lover, film fan and avid reader Jim is married to Carrie and has three adult children. He loves to travel and thinks that it is truly the best metaphor for our existence.
